The Education Department seeks to engage the public through a number of activities geared toward enhancing knowledge and developing creativity. All activities are developed in Portuguese.
We invite the school community to embark on a unique journey that will take us back in time!
For Teachers
Preparing the Guided Tour
›Book your visit in advance by letter, fax, e-mail or telephone (on Mondays).
›Involve your students from the start.
›Prepare for the visit with them, not for them. Students should understand why they are visiting the museum.
›Research resources on the museum’s collection before the visit.
›Take the length of the visit into consideration.
›Don’t exceed the number of recommended students per group. An excess number of people in the group can reduce motivation.
›Try to keep to the schedule you selected. If you need to cancel the visit we kindly request that you notify the museum.
›Help us by completing our survey and giving us suggestions.
›If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!
