Sedan Chair

Transport without wheels. Carried by 2 or 4 footmen, with the help of leather straps suspended from their shoulders, using two removable poles, fixed onto two lateral metal supports. It belonged to Joaquim Pedro Quintela, 1st Count of Farrobo.

The body contained only one seat and is upholstered in black leather.

It has two very wide windows on the sides and another on the door decorated with brass frames.

The door opens in the front and the hood can be removed.

The windows have red taffeta silk curtains.
